Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula Programs offers Barry Carr Sports Leagues, Power hour & INTENSIVE ACADEMIC TUTORING, Social-Emotional Learning, Restorative Community Circle, and Enrichment & Clubs. The program also includes activities such as soccer, futsal, basketball, flag football, coding, photography, culinary, and graphic design.

- Barry Carr Sports Leagues — K-8 · Ensures all youth can access competitive sports. Students exercise, learn life skills and have fun playing sports like soccer, futsal, basketball, and flag football.
- Power hour & INTENSIVE ACADEMIC TUTORING — K-8
- Social-Emotional Learning — K-8 · Students learn about and develop the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that help a person be emotionally and socially well.
- Restorative Community Circle — K-8 · Offer explicit time for students to build and strengthen relationships while practicing skills learned during Social-Emotional Learning time.
- Enrichment & Clubs — K-8; High School & Postsecondary · Wide variety of enrichment programs like coding, sports leagues, photography, culinary, and graphic design.
- Academic Advising — High School & Postsecondary · High School Success Advisors offer targeted intervention through relationship building, problem solving, resource linkage, academic support, and college/career exposure.
- Career Pathways — High School & Postsecondary · Career development opportunities and exposure through career panels, summer apprenticeships, summer internships, job shadowing, and career mentorship.
- Mental Health Supports — High School & Postsecondary · Free mental health services through 1:1 therapy, group counseling, and staff training.
- Future Grads — High School & Postsecondary
- Youth of the Year — teens · Leadership, recognition, and scholarship program designed for teens to share their stories of outstanding leadership, service, and academic excellence to serve as ambassador for the Club.

About the provider
The program’s mission is to empower the youth in the community with equitable access to social, academic, and career opportunities to thrive. It works in partnership with schools and expands the school day and school year through after-school and summer programs, providing free, high-quality comprehensive services. It serves students at 31 different locations in underserved neighborhoods of San Mateo County.
