Dance Expressions Studio

Dance Expressions Studio offers dance classes that include a Performing Company and a Saturday Technique class. The program includes an end-of-the-year performance in June 2026 as part of its dance year, which runs from September through June.

• Schedule: Winter Session begins January 5th, with registration opening December 6th; the dance year runs September–June and ends with a performance in June 2026

Dance Expressions Studio was founded by Maryanne Fernandez-Richardson and Danielle Fernandez. Dance Expressions states that it strives to create a positive, upbeat, and inspiring learning environment where students can express themselves, be creative, and fall in love with dance. The studio describes that every class exposes students to proper dance technique, musicality, and artistic expression, and that the dance training students receive plays a role in building self-confidence, positive self-esteem, dedication, and learning to work as a group.

Located in Menlo Park, Dance Expressions offers dance classes for students ages 3 through young adult and welcomes all levels of ability. Being part of the Dance Expressions Performing Company is described as an opportunity for students to develop technical dance skills, make friends, and build confidence while performing at various events in the area. Performing Company members have performed at NBA basketball games, local community events, and the Disneyland Resort. All Performing Company dancers are required to enroll in another weekly Dance Expressions class or classes, as well as a Saturday Technique class. The studio also offers Dance Expressions apparel through an online store and refers to its community as the Dance Expressions Family.
