First Youth Triathlon Team offers training in swimming, biking, and running through swim/bike/run sessions, swim clinics, private lessons, and focused swimming, running, strength, and cycling practices. The program includes a 5-Day Youth Triathlon Camp held July 20–24 and a Weekend Warrior FYT Team option with weekend-only swim/bike/run sessions.

The program’s mission statement is that the Youth Triathlon Team is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of athletes by providing top-notch training, unwavering support, and fostering a vibrant community. Training is led by professional, certified coaches with extensive experience in triathlon and swimming. The program includes an FYTT 2026–2027 Scholarship Program that offers 50% financial assistance for the season, team support with equipment and/or selected races at the discretion of FYTT, access to structured training and coaching support, and a strong team environment designed for long-term progress. Scholarship athletes are evaluated with an internal ranking based on their best five race results, with participation in USA Triathlon Youth Nationals carrying the highest weight in the overall evaluation, and scholarship athletes sign a one-year commitment agreement.
High school athletes are welcome, and there is a stated possibility of pursuing college triathlon scholarships through collegiate programs, supported by a strong recommendation letter from FYTT based on race results, training consistency, team participation, and leadership. The program notes a chance to join an elite team and become a competitive athlete. The program has a partnership with Kagi for the 2026 season, collaborating with Kagi in growing youth triathlon in the Bay Area. Kagi is described as an innovative technology company focused on building fast, privacy-first search and knowledge tools, and its free, kid-friendly game Slop Detective is used to help athletes ages 8–14 learn to spot AI-generated misinformation in stories, images, and audio in a fun, private, ad-free environment.
