QWERTY Education Services Tutoring offers one-on-one academic tutoring in subjects such as math, algebra, calculus, chemistry, geometry, reading, writing, and statistics. The program also offers academic skills coaching, study skills support, executive functions tutoring and coaching, and specialized ADD/ADHD tutoring. Families can also use the Spotlight Tutoring program, learning consulting, and a range of ADHD and learning differences screenings and evaluations, including formal ADHD tests and diagnosis and comprehensive assessments for learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, and ASD.

QWERTY Education Services Tutoring offers learning profile consulting, evaluation of students’ aptitude and achievement, and educational program design. Testing services range from basic academic skills benchmarking to comprehensive assessments for diagnosing learning differences, including dyslexia and other challenges such as ADHD and ASD. The organization combines subject-area tutoring with executive function coaching and learning consulting, and it offers a trial experience with low commitment through the Spotlight Tutoring program to help families better understand how their child learns. The program also offers individualized ADHD tutoring for K–12 students and provides specialized screenings for learning differences and ADHD for students of all ages, including college students and adults.

The leadership team includes Michael Perez, M.S. – Center Director and Owner; Maureen Reich Svenson, M.A. – Director of Education; Sarah Hanrahan, M.S., L.E.P. – Director of Learning Differences and ADHD Testing; Bailey Ubellacker, Ph.D. – Director of Curriculum and Training; Carol Beaumont, Ph.D. – Learning Specialist; Tina Dress, M.A. – Learning Specialist; Uju Nwangwu, B.A. – Learning Specialist; Lori Patton, M.Ed – Tutor and Education Consultant; Shyam Srinivasan, B.A. – Tutor and Education Consultant; and Mark Carey, M.A. – Learning Specialist and founder who established the original private learning center. QWERTY began informally in 1976 as an independent tutoring and education consulting firm, opened QWERTY Writing Center in 1986, and became QWERTY Education Services in 2001. In 1998, Michael P. Perez, M.S. joined QWERTY, and in 2009 he assumed leadership of the organization, which states it has been a premier provider of professional education services for Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Atherton, and surrounding San Francisco Peninsula communities since 1976.

The program’s stated philosophy is that students who develop self-understanding gain self-confidence and make educational progress to achieve their academic goals. It also offers no-cost phone consultations for new clients.
