Victory Garden Kids offers one-on-one tutoring with a team of veteran educators. The program provides TK–12 tutoring, individualized curriculum, and an emphasis on helping students view themselves as learners in a comfortable and fun environment. It also offers parent coaching, teaching resources, and the option to include academic parenting sessions in a student’s individual program.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
Victory Garden Kids was created many years ago while the founder was teaching middle school, and after 20 years of teaching and private tutoring it has grown into a thriving online and in-person tutoring opportunity for kids. The program includes an Academic Parenting program that has developed into a parent coaching method based on the philosophy of Same Page Parenting, with programs and sessions that the whole family can benefit from. It offers long-term support for students from elementary and middle school into high school and the journey to college acceptance, including guidance through internships, volunteer hours, service projects, class selections, and creation of college applications, as well as assistance with essay editing and helping students express their hearts and goals on paper. Victory Garden Kids also organizes VGK Family Day: Hikes, Kites, and Poetry, and a Holiday Toy Drive.
