Camp Happy Hall offers hands-on activities that include STEM workshops in life, earth, physical, and space science, as well as mathematics and engineering projects like designing simple machines and conducting science experiments. Campers take part in creative arts such as music, gardening, painting, sculpting, and crafts, along with movement workshops that focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, concentration, and dance. The program also includes interactive storytime, scavenger hunts, memory games, creative puzzles, and themed labs like Tinker Lab, Slime Lab, Art Lab, Science Lab, and Camp-Cade with games such as air hockey and foosball, plus recreational swimming, soccer, gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, ping pong, Foam Parties, Talent Shows, Pizza Parties, water games, poolside activities, and skill-building sports.

Camp Happy Hall offers a Sandwich Bar for customizable lunch Monday through Thursday, daily morning and afternoon snacks included in camp fees, and a Free-Lunch Friday tradition with pizza and salad. The program uses the 1CORE Family App with a unique pin system for authorized pickup and real-time updates, and it features a Camp Life Skills ticket and raffle system with a Camp Treasure Box. Camp Happy Hall includes over 60 unique workshops, a themed Tranquility Forest area, and a Teen Leaders program that blends leadership development with the camp experience.
Camp Happy Hall has been crafting lifelong memories since 1951 and has provided programs for families in the community for over 70 years. The camp describes its mission as cultivating the next generation of curious, compassionate, and confident humans, with a goal of helping campers grow by developing skills that deepen their understanding of the world and equip them with tools to thrive, and aims to nurture confident, curious, and compassionate young individuals who will shape a brighter future. The program notes that it serves families in the vibrant Bay Area on San Francisco’s Peninsula and states that it offers a foundation for meaningful contributions to the community.
The leadership team includes Taylor, Director of Operations; Tiffany, Millbrae Program Lead for Summer Camp; Colleen, Camp Admin and Head of Education; Conner, Millbrae Program Lead for Summer Camp; Marina, Camp Director for the Millbrae Campus; and Brigette and Nichole, Camp Directors for the Pacifica Campus. Camp staff receive year-round training and are CPR and First Aid certified. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Francisco State University; Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development with a concentration in School Age Child and Family and a minor in Mathematics from San Francisco State University and is certified in First Aid and CPR; Colleen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from San Francisco State University and is CPR and First Aid certified; and Conner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Sonoma State University and is pursuing a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide.
One parent, Khan S., shared that their family was impressed with the summer camp, noting that the Sandwich Bar was a “lifesaver” and that their kids looked forward to lunch every day, came home excited with stories about games, crafts, and friends, and felt comfortable with the warm staff from day one.
