Positive Kids Social-Emotional Skills & ADHD Tutoring Programs offers individual counselling sessions on social and emotional skills, group counselling for children, and social skills groups. The program also offers Social Emotional Therapy, Executive Functioning Coaching, CALM DBT skills groups for kids and teens, and Step Light Learning, which is described as specialized ADHD tutoring from Positive Kids. Additional services include ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, perinatal counselling, family therapy, educational counseling, camps on social and emotional learning, parenting classes, assessments, parental counselling and coaching, and professional development workshops for educators.

• Price: A cancellation fee of $250 will be applied if Participant withdraws from the program after the start of the group.

Group counselling programs consist of a maximum of 4 children, and all young people must undergo an initial assessment before participating in the program. The curriculum addresses emotional skills, cognitive skills, and behavioral skills. The vision of Positive Kids is to offer a safe non-judgemental environment where children can learn, share, ask questions, participate in group activities, and address social and emotional challenges through practice, training, and child therapy techniques. Staff consists of psychologists, child therapists, psychotherapists, Child & Youth Workers, and other teaching professionals. Positive Kids works with parents and school systems to offer a curriculum for teaching social-emotional skills, and it is described as the first off-site facility in Canada dedicated to this collaboration. The program is described as a private and affordable supplement to a child’s academic curriculum that focuses on building and developing social and emotional skills through child therapy practices. Camps are described as creating a fun, safe environment for children to work on common child therapy issues related to social and emotional learning.
