The MAOF Early Care and Education Program provides care and education services to infants, toddlers, and preschool children who qualify through the State Subsidy Program. The program is part of the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), which uses a multi-generational approach to uplift the whole family and provides social services for infants through seniors across four pillars: early child education services, senior services, community development services, and community partnership services.

MAOF was founded in 1963 by Dionicio Morales. MAOF has grown to become one of the largest nonprofits in California and maintains an operating budget of over $100 million annually. MAOF has 27 child care centers located throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Ventura, San Diego and San Bernardino Counties, and seven Early Care Centers in Monterey County, three of which provide infant care from 6 weeks to entering kindergarten and the remaining licensed for ages 2–5 years, primarily serving families that work in the agricultural industry. MAOF serves over 125,000 people per year across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, San Diego, Ventura, Kern, and Monterey counties. The organization recognizes and values strong community partnerships through an engaged Board of Directors and with the support of civic and corporate leaders. The mission of MAOF is to provide for the socio-economic betterment of the greater Latino community of California through programs in early childhood education and family services, job training, and senior lifestyle development throughout the communities it serves.
