Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta offers Power Hour for homework help, tutoring, high-yield learning activities, and support for self-directed learning. It also offers Project Learn, STEM activities with hands-on projects and 3D printing, Garden-to-Table, Triple Play, SMART Girls, Passport to Manhood, Torch Club, Art & Crafts, Holiday Programs, and Gravity Groms Mountain Bike Programs.

• Triple Play — Wellness program addressing mind, body, and soul.
• SMART Girls — Small-group health, fitness, prevention/education, and self-esteem enhancement program for girls ages 8 to 18.
• Passport to Manhood — Program for boys focused on character, leadership, and positive behavior through 14 sessions.
• Torch Club — Leadership program for pre-teens focused on service, education, health and fitness, and social recreation.

• Holiday Programs — TK-8th grades · Week-long camps during select school breaks; typical hours 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM; themed enrichment activities, outdoor recreation, socialization, and structured activities.
• Gravity Groms Mountain Bike Programs — Cubbies: ideal age 4-6; Bruins and Black Bears also offered · Bruins: Thursdays in September/October, 3:30-5:30 PM; Black Bear: Thursdays in October, 3:30-5:30 PM · Fall 2026 mountain biking programs with novice and intermediate levels; Cubbies were not offered in fall 2026.

About the provider

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. It has served youth since the summer of 2017 and works across Siskiyou County. The mission statement says it empowers youth to reach their full potential as responsible, caring, and productive citizens through professionally led programs and activities that are fun, positive, and relevant in a safe, supportive, and healthy environment.

Financial assistance is available; no child will be turned away for inability to pay. Holiday Programs registration is first come, first served and full weekly payment is required. Online payments include a 2% processing fee. Mountain bike program spots are limited and participants must have front and rear handbrakes with no coaster brakes for Cubbies.
