College Prep Wrestling Academy

College Prep Wrestling Academy focuses on teaching wrestling at a high level. The program presents wrestling as America’s martial arts and emphasizes learning to be aggressive and confident with the body while adding wrestling to an athlete’s training. It highlights wrestling as a crossover sport for athletes who also participate in football, volleyball, soccer, field hockey, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, judo, MMA, and more. The academy describes its coaching staff as world class and its facilities as exemplary in the Bay Area.

Coach Scotty Oda leads College Prep Wrestling Academy. The program states as its mission “Developing young athletes into World Changers thru Faith, Family, Fun, Academics & Wrestling.” Coach Scotty Oda is a 2X IBJJF World Champion. The academy lists competitive results including 5 champions and 5 silvers at the 2026 Boardwalk Classic, champions James Bareng, Patrick Oda, and Jaxon Diaz at the 2025 Sparta Classic, Rane Mitchell as 12U 81 lbs state champion, and James Bareng placing 4th in state at 12U 82 lbs. Additional results include 7 champions at the 2025 SCVWA Championships, 2 double champions at King of Kings 2024, 9 out of 9 medalists at the Raiders Classic, 4 champions and 9 medalists at the NGC Classic 2024, and recognition for College Prep Wrestling Academy at the California Kids Freestyle Championship.
