The Junior Warriors Kids Martial Arts Program at Warrior Combat Arts Academy includes training in Jeet Kune Do (JKD), Kali Escrima, Boxing, Kickboxing, Wing Chun, Jiu-Jitsu, Stick Fighting, Combat Fitness, Thai Boxing, and MMA. Junior Warriors classes introduce younger students to youth versions of Jeet Kune Do and Kali Escrima, along with Boxing, Thai Boxing, MMA, and Stick Fighting from the Filipino Martial Arts. Kids in the program also take part in the Combat Fitness program, which combines physical activity with cardio and strength training.

• Schedule: Class options on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 PM and Saturdays at 10 AM

Warrior Combat Arts Academy, also known as Tandez Academy of Martial Arts, has served the San Francisco Bay Area since 2005. The program is authorized by Guro Dan Inosanto and the Inosanto Academy, and the head instructor, SiFu/Guro Adrian Tandez, is a member of the Inosanto International Martial Arts Instructors Association. The owner, founder, and head instructor has over 29 years of martial arts experience, is a third-generation Jeet Kune Do instructor in the Bruce Lee lineage, is a certified instructor under Guro Dan Inosanto and Paul Vunak, and holds ranks in multiple martial arts disciplines.

Warrior is the only school in the Bay Area that offers training in Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do and the only school in the Bay Area that teaches Kali Escrima based on the Inosanto-LaCoste Kali approach. The Junior Warriors Program uses a structured belt ranking system and a comprehensive curriculum, and classes are designed for children aged 6 and up, including beginners with no prior experience as well as more experienced students. The Junior Tigers Program within the academy offers self-defense training for young learners, and the academy offers daily group classes for both adults and kids, along with a 3 day trial membership.

The Warrior Combat Arts Academy states a mission to stop and prevent unwanted violence that can threaten the safety and well-being of everyday individuals. Its mission includes training to address physical altercations, verbal aggression, physical, emotional, and mental abuse, threats and intimidation, bullying, criminal actions, and sexual assault. The academy describes goals for students that include unshakeable confidence, preparedness in confrontation, composure under pressure, and inner strength and resilience. The academy provides martial arts and self-defense training for communities across a wide area of the San Francisco Bay Area, including cities such as Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, San Jose, Santa Clara, San Francisco, and many others.
