Opus 1 Music Studio

Opus 1 Music Studio offers piano, violin, cello, guitar, and voice lessons, along with choir and music theory. The program includes both private lessons and group classes, with specific options such as Music for Young Children, My Little Mozart, and My First Piano. Students can take multiple lessons at the same studio, including piano, violin, voice, guitar, and theory, and can switch teachers or instruments.

Opus 1 Music Studio offers music lessons for all ages and levels, including infants, toddlers, children, teenagers, and adults. Group classes are available for children age 3 and up, and private lessons are available for children 5 years old and up. Music lessons are available in English, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese. The studio can accommodate lessons for siblings at the same time and same location with different teachers. There is no yearly enrollment fee; an enrollment fee is paid only once when first signing up as long as the family remains a member. Tuition is paid monthly, families can withdraw at any time with 14 days’ notice, and tuition is increased only every two years. Private lessons can be reasonably rescheduled with the teacher or a substitute, including online, and a substitute is provided if a teacher is ill or away. The studio is open all year long, including summer, and is only closed for major national holidays. Comfortable spaces with free WiFi are available for waiting.

Opus 1 Music Studio employs over 45 professional and university-trained music teachers who all hold Bachelor, Masters, or Doctorate degrees in Music, Pedagogy, and/or early childhood development. All teachers are employees who are thoroughly vetted, background checked, and fingerprinted with the CA Department of Justice. Most of the administrative staff are trained to help families pick the music program and teacher that is right for them, and full-time professional administrative staff are available 7 days a week during business hours, with website chat available for questions.

Opus 1 Music Studio has been serving the Bay Area since 2006. The studio offers preparation and enrollment for CM, RCM, and ABRSM exams, and most students pass with Merit or Distinction. It features unique, fun, and proven group class programs for young children and beginners.
