About
Pacific Ballet Academy offers a full range of graded classes, from pre-ballet to pre-professional training. Students study the traditions and discipline of Ballet, including the traditions and discipline of Russian Ballet. The program also includes coaching for competitions, a Studio Company gala, and a silent auction, with the Studio Company providing additional performing opportunities for advanced dancers (VI–VII).

For over 30 years, Pacific Ballet Academy has offered a full range of graded classes. The program’s mission states that it provides a unique opportunity for students of all ages and abilities to study the traditions and discipline of Ballet, whether a student’s goal is a career in dance or purely recreational exercise, with dedicated faculty offering personal attention and professional training to match each student's interests. Performing opportunities in the past have included work with the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, and the Armenian Genocide Centennial Commemoration at San Francisco City Hall. The program presents a 34th annual Nutcracker performance and offers free trial classes year-round, and competition participation is by invitation only. One testimonial shared with the program is the quote from Agnes de Mille: “Girl or boy, gifted or not, LEARN THEN TO DANCE. You will stand up straighter and walk prouder the rest of your life. And you will be kinder and more polite and more careful in all physical matters and less afraid.”
