• Ages: 5–18 years old

Francisco Ruiz serves as Head Coach and Director and is an ITF (International Tennis Federation) High Performance Coach, which is the highest ranking certification offered to coaches. SV Tennis Coaches are certified instructors, and Coach Felipe is ITF Coach Certified. The coaching staff also includes Coach Jorge, Coach Andres, and Coach Christian Rivera. Francisco Ruiz has been playing tennis for over 50 years and has been a dedicated coach across the Bay Area for over 35 years. The academy offers year-round training programs for juniors, adults, and families of all levels and abilities, with customized programs to help students reach specific goals, and is home for some of the top ranked players in Northern California. The Rising Stars program is for ages 5–10 for players with little to no experience, the Fundamentals program is for ages 8–15 for students with some experience playing tennis, the Core Skills program is for ages 10–13 for tournament players with at least two years of competitive experience, and the High Performance program is for ages 13–21 for intense tournament players with at least four years of competitive experience and a USTA NorCal ranking. The Adult Clinic is for those new to tennis or looking to build a strong foundation. The academy follows a coaching philosophy that the path to professional-level competition takes 10 years of committed effort and 10,000 hours of practice, and uses a framework that elevating a recreational player to a 3.5 NTRP level requires approximately 1,000 hours of dedicated instruction. Its mission is to provide every student with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to succeed in tennis and in life, and to create hardworking, well-rounded players and to instill a new appreciation for the game of tennis. As a local company, Silicon Valley Tennis Academy states that it aims to have a positive impact in the community through teaching with compassion, support, and patience, and to grow its impact as it grows. Francisco Ruiz was the first Latino to be on the USTA NorCal Board of Directors in 2006, received the Diversity Leadership award in 2004 for his coaching, and was presented with the Trailblazer award in 2010 for his lifelong service in the minority tennis community.
