Taekwon Kids Mountain View – Summer Taekwondo Clinic offers a half-day taekwondo clinic that includes fitness training and stretching, two taekwondo classes, snack and game time, a final review, and a daily promotion test. Each day follows a set schedule that includes drop-off from 9:00–9:15 am, fitness training and stretching from 9:15–9:50 am, Taekwondo Class 1 from 10:00–10:30 am, Taekwondo Class 2 from 10:35–11:15 am, snack and game time from 11:15–11:55 am, final review from 12:00–12:15 pm, and a daily promotion test from 12:15–12:30 pm, followed by pick-up and a belt ceremony if a promotion has been earned. The program is intended for current and active Taekwon Kids students with taekwondo experience, and registration closes three days before the session with no walk-ins allowed when the session is full. A late fee is charged if a parent is more than 15 minutes late past the 12:30 pm pick-up time.
The clinic is described as an intensive training program where the instructor personally evaluates and works with each student and provides individualized guidance for preparation for a promotion. At the end of each day, students have the opportunity to perform and earn tapes, which can lead to a promotion when a black tape is received, and all promotion requirements, including oral questions, must be completed for a promotion.
