About

Community Resources for Children – Toy Library & Early Learning Center offers access to a Toy Library and an Early Learning Center. Families can also use Ages & Stages Developmental Screening (ASQ) through the Toy Library and Early Learning Center. The program is connected to Resource and Referral Services in Napa County, historically known as Rainbow Referral, and offers a 102-page guide to services and programs for young children in Napa County entitled “Rainbow,” printed in both English and Spanish. Toys borrowed from the Toy Library need to be returned after 14 days.

• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Wednesday, 10am–12pm

Community Resources for Children was founded in 1978 as Rainbow Child Care Council, and in 1989 the name was changed to Community Resources for Children. Project coordinators were Nancy Kael and Judi Egbert, and on May 24, 1978, Paul Miller and Carole Kelly, President and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Rainbow Child Care Council of Napa County, Inc., filed the agency’s Articles of Incorporation. The organization’s mission is to provide adults who care for children with the knowledge, tools, and resources so that children thrive and continue to learn. Community Resources for Children collaborates with public and private agencies to meet local child care needs.
