About
We Make Footballers: Napa Academy offers weekly soccer training that includes small-sided games such as 1v1 and 2v2. The program also runs soccer development camps and competitive matches, with new drills every session and over 500 soccer ball touches per session. Intensive training options are available as half day, full day, or full week camps, and each camp day covers a different theme including defending, skills, attacking, tactical awareness, and physical development.
• Ages: 4–12 years old
• Schedule: Class options on Thursdays and Saturdays in 8-session blocks, with 1-hour sessions for different age groups
• Price: $200 per 8 sessions
The program’s stated mission is to help children aged 4–12 become their best without the high cost. All coaches have safety checks and are fully background checked, and at least one member of staff on-site will be first aid trained. Many coaches have played at a good level and know the game. The leadership team includes Academy Director Brandon Johns, Head Coach Alex Cendejas, and coaches Lilanny Reyes, Mateo Gonzales, and Eduardo Rodriguez.
We Make Footballers is described as the UK’s #1 soccer academy for kids and has helped over 100,000 players fall in love with soccer, with 250+ players joining professional academies and 50 earning professional contracts. The program offers ability-based classes and a training pathway with Entry Level, Progress Level, and Elite (invite only) options. Matches include guaranteed game time for all players, with low-cost matches described as having costs lower than the national league and qualified coaches running the games while providing feedback and support. A free 1-hour trial session is available.
Parent testimonials describe the staff as friendly and supportive and note children looking forward to weekly sessions and camps. Parents mention children gaining confidence, enjoying the focus on skills rather than only winning, and wanting to attend camps regularly. Specific testimonials come from parents including Jamie Redknapp, Asma Moustaoui, Peter Bond, Paz Birk, Lucy Williams, and Gary.
