Slammers FC - Newport Mesa is a non-profit youth soccer club founded in 2005. Its mission is to develop high quality soccer players through exceptional training methods and by dedicated professional coaches in a challenging but fun environment, with a focus on the players. The club states that it exists for the benefit of children and not for the benefit of any director, coach, or volunteer, and that its culture fosters personal growth and respect in a team environment. The program emphasizes keeping the ball on the ground, connecting, and working hard, and it promotes its best players onward and upward to the Boys ECNL, Girls ECNL, NPL, and more. Slammers FC has influenced the game on national and international levels and prepares and places student athletes in universities including NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA, with institutions in the Ivy League, Pac 10, Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, and SEC conferences.
