Hamilton Montessori School

Hamilton Montessori School includes activities such as music, art, cooking, walking adventures, and outdoor activities as part of its program. The program follows a Montessori philosophy and uses Montessori materials with Montessori trained teachers who guide children in language arts, mathematics, sensorial development, practical living skills, and cultural subjects including the sciences and social studies. Classrooms are multi-age, with toddlers and preschoolers/pre-kindergarteners together according to academic and developmental ability, strength, and interest.

Hamilton Montessori School offers preschool for children ages 2 to 6 years old, from toddler through kindergarten. The school provides authentic Montessori education for ages 2–6 with multi-age classrooms for toddlers 2–3 years old and preschoolers/pre-kindergarteners 3–6 years old. Programs include in-services in the arts and sciences, walking adventures, and outdoor activities that connect with the academic or social lesson of the month, with special focuses on music, art, and cooking for toddlers and an emphasis on cultural subjects and community connection for preschoolers and pre-kindergarteners. Parent involvement is described as an important part of the school, with parents volunteering time in school or at home in various aspects of school planning and curriculum.

Hamilton Montessori School opened its doors in February 2018. The Interim Director and Head of School is Dr. Cindy Acker. The school is licensed by the California Department of Social Services.
