Novato Youth Soccer Association offers youth soccer through a recreational soccer league and a competitive soccer program. Players take part in league play and tournaments. Games for younger teams are played in the Fall within Novato, and older players compete within Marin County against other community recreational teams.

Novato Youth Soccer Association (NYSA) is a non-profit volunteer-based youth sports organization dedicated to fostering a learning and love of the game of soccer. NYSA offers a full program of youth soccer each year for over 1,400 local girls and boys, from ages four through high school, with programs available at both recreational and competitive levels. The recreational program kicks off each year in August, and no prior experience with the sport is required for this program. The competitive program, North Marin United, includes high-level professional coaching for all select teams, and these teams compete against top clubs and in tournaments both nearby and throughout Northern California.
NYSA represents the largest youth sports program in Novato and is powered by more than 200 dedicated volunteers each season, including more than 20 board members and approximately 200 volunteer coaches and team parents. NYSA is dedicated to providing fun opportunities for children in the Novato community to exercise and play, and donations and sponsorships help support the Novato community. NYSA strives to offer financial assistance so that those in financial need may participate in the program.
All players are required to wear the official NYSA uniform for all league games, which consists of an NYSA jersey, shorts, and socks. Shin guards and soccer cleats are also required, and sneakers or other cleats, such as baseball or football cleats, are not allowed. An NYSA online store is available to order uniforms for the Fall Recreation League, and all teams from Pre-K through 11th/12th grade use the same black shorts and socks.
