Rhythms Performing Arts

Rhythms Performing Arts offers dance classes, music classes, and theater classes, along with musicals for kids and musical camps. The program also provides private lessons in singing and dancing, as well as group private lessons in singing and dancing. Four studios are available for these activities, and studio rentals include use of the sound system and restroom.

Rhythms Performing Arts opened in September 2005 in Novato, California. The program’s stated mission is to use performing arts to empower students to grow into happy, confident and successful adults, and to make the studio a place where all students feel welcome regardless of ability, gender, race, sexual orientation or size. The mission also states a goal of helping every student build self-esteem and feel a strong sense of community. The program produces musicals for kids ages 4–18 and puts on five full musicals per year plus two mini musicals and multiple musical camps. Additional stated features include a focus on friendship, well-rounded performers, community service, taking performing arts beyond the studio, affordable and appropriate shows, body positivity, and performance that inspires. Four studios are available for rental.
