Swim With Gale offers swim lessons that include swimming and springboard diving in a one-on-one format. Lessons are personalized and progress with each student's unique strengths and areas of development. All lessons and activities use a concurrent approach that introduces water safety at the same time as swimming instruction, and are geared around an infusion of joy and positive experiences. The challenges of special needs individuals are welcomed with care and understanding.
• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Classes are scheduled on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, and are offered in increments of 20, 30, or 40 minutes depending on endurance and ability.
Swim With Gale is led by founder, owner, and lead instructor Gale Saul, who has been teaching swim lessons for over 40 years. Gale holds a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and maintains credentials that include Water Safety Instructor (WSI), Water Safety Instructor: Instructor Trainer (WSI IT), First Aid/CPR, Lifeguard, and Lifeguard Instructor Trainer. The program’s mission states that water is a unique modality and that a strong foundation for learning to swim starts with respect for the water environment and its power and limitations, with an initial goal of understanding the environment, its rules, and personal control within it, and an ultimate goal of learning how to be safe while building psychological and physical strength.
