CAMPS - CIT "School Year"

Kids 'N Dance 'N Theater Arts, 3840 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland, CA 94619

CIT OPTIONS | Grades 6th-12th

  • Our CIT Program is designed for older campers who are ready to take on responsibility and grow as leaders. Each CIT is paired with an experienced director and helps guide a group of younger actors throughout their camp experience.

  • Throughout the week, CITs also support daily logistics and activities—helping with check-in and check-out, serving snack, leading group games, tidying shared spaces, and assisting with crafts. They play a key role in keeping camp running smoothly, building leadership through real, meaningful engagement.

  • NOTE: The level of responsibility given to each CIT depends on the maturity, good judgment, ability to take initiative that is displayed. Our CIT training sessions are highly recommended because they help strengthen these qualities.

AERIAL CIT POSITIONS

Aerial Circus CITs are relied on to support classroom management and safe use of the equipment during instruction. They will not be teaching tricks but will remind campers of the sequences moves taught. All Aerial Circus CITs to have at least some aerial experience, at least one session of classes at minimum.

THEATER CIT POSITIONS

CITs gain hands-on training in all aspects of theater production: assisting with blocking and choreography, helping kids memorize lines and songs, and supporting costume fittings. During performances, CITs work backstage and become an essential part of the show’s success.

SONG & DANCE CIT POSITIONS

Our Dance Camp CIT's help our young aspiring performers learn songs and choreography. They help with costume fittings and and support a successful mini-presentation at the end of camp.
