Ojai Art Center Youth Branch

Ojai Art Center Youth Branch offers acting classes for young people. The Youth Branch also presents a few productions each year that feature young actors from the community.

The Ojai Art Center has eight branches, including the Youth Branch alongside Art, Dance, Film, Literary, Music, Photography, and Theater. Since it opened its doors in 1939, the Ojai Art Center’s mission has been to support and advance the arts within its community. All Art Center programs and activities are overseen by a Board and by an Executive Director, Teri Mettala, who has served the Center for more than 40 years. The Ojai Art Center is the longest continuously operating multidisciplinary arts center in the State of California. The Center collaborates with local nonprofits such as the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy, the Ojai Humane Society, the Ojai Library Foundation, and the Ojai Film Society, and it hosts the Ojai Film Festival’s four-day event each November in its theater. The Center also sponsors and organizes events including an annual Art in the Park fundraising event in Libbey Park over Memorial Day weekend, the Great Art Theft, and the Blues Festival.
