Camp Doodles offers maker and art summer camps with activities such as Game Design, Redstone Workshop, Screencasting, WorldEdit Engineering, Minecraft Multiverse, Forts and Forces, and Powered by Nature. Campers can also take part in projects like Invisible Engine, Watts Up?, Playscapes, Light and Shadow, Sound and Movement, Myths and Legends, Marvels of the Natural World, Building and Engineering, and Sports & Games. Additional hands-on options include making slime in the “X” Lab, designing the user experience for a Playscapes DIY carnival theme in the 3D Art Lab, starting to mock up a giant game of mousetrap in the Maker Lab, and going on weekly field trips into nature.

• Schedule: Weekly sessions between June 1 and August 7, 2026, with full-day hours from 9:00am to 3:45pm, extended care from 8:00am to 5:30pm, and a half-day option from 9:00am to 1:00pm for the youngest campers

Camp Doodles has been providing summer day camps since 2002. Programs are organized into Primo for Pre-K through Kindergarten, Spark for 1st through 5th grade, Techs for 3rd through 8th grade, and LIT (Leaders in Training) for campers entering 6th through 10th grade in the fall. The camp is nut-free, asks families to pack a nut-free lunch Monday through Thursday, and includes a Friday pizza lunch. The program states a mission “to incubate your child’s creative intelligence,” follows three rules of be safe, be kind, and have fun, and describes four pillars of creative intelligence: Awareness, Relevance, Motivation, and Empowerment. It offers maker-empowered learning using real tools and unconventional materials, along with experiences in Maker and 3D Art Labs, specialty activities in the “X” Lab, and an overnight option at Marin Ranch Camp at Walker Creek in Petaluma from July 21 to August 6, 2026. Financial aid of up to 60% assistance is available for qualified families.
Site Director Justin “Thunder” was born and raised in Fresno, has several years of summer camp experience working with youth ages 5 to 18, holds a Master’s in Special Education and a Master’s in Supply Chain Management, and has over nine years of teaching and leadership experience in the US and Sweden.
