Camp Doodles has been providing summer day camps since 2002. Programs are designed by expert curriculum directors, and staff are described as professional educators, creators, makers, dreamers, and doers. The camp describes itself as a Maker and Art Summer Camp with a STEAM focus, including a Techs program that takes creating into the digital world with Minecraft and programs for ages 3 and up. The mission of Camp Doodles is “to incubate your child’s creative intelligence,” guided by three simple rules: be safe, be kind, and have fun, and by Four Pillars of Creative Intelligence: Awareness, Relevance, Motivation, and Empowerment. The camp is nut-free, asks families to pack a nut-free lunch Monday through Thursday, and includes a Friday pizza lunch. Financial aid is available with up to 60% assistance for qualified families, and the program states that children are constructors or “makers” of their own experiences and learning.
