The Glenn County 4-H Youth Development Program engages young people in hands-on learning. The program is part of a broader set of community programs that also includes the Master Gardener, Master Food Preserver, and California Naturalist programs.
• Schedule: The UC Cooperative Extension Office Hours are 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on Monday–Friday, and closed 12:00–1:00 p.m. for lunch.
The Glenn County 4-H Youth Development Program operates within UC Cooperative Extension Glenn County, which provides programs tailored to meet the needs of county residents. UC Cooperative Extension Glenn County works in full partnership with federal, state, and county resources, and with federal, state, county, and local government agencies, as well as individuals and private entities. Its programs are supported through the cooperative funding model of the UCCE system, and it acknowledges operational support provided by the County of Glenn. The University of California Extension was first introduced to Glenn County in 1915. The program is part of a local problem-solving center for Glenn County and is included in county-university research partnerships described as supporting a thriving community. Thousands of volunteers extend the reach of related programs such as the Master Gardener, Master Food Preserver, California Naturalist, and California 4-H Youth Development Programs.
