Early Education Programs & Services – Children's Centers & State Preschool includes programs at Chico Circles Children's Center Full Day CSPP Program, Gridley Children's Center Part-Day CSPP Program, and Eastside Children's Center Part-Day CSPP Program. The program also includes Paradise Ridge, Cedarwood, Pine Ridge, and Oakdale Heights Children's Centers, each planned as full-day programs beginning in 2026–27, as well as Elm Street Children's Center Collaborative and Bird Street Children's Center Collaborative. Early Education Programs and Services provides a range of complementary support services that elevate the quality of early learning and care programs for children aged birth through five.

Early Education Programs and Services is dedicated to delivering exceptional, inclusive early care and education programs and services through a team of highly skilled professionals, with a mission to create nurturing environments that foster individualized educational, emotional, social, and physical growth and development for children. Early Education Programs and Services has a dedicated team of highly skilled professionals. Early Education Programs and Services offers professional development and training opportunities to support the growth and expertise of early childhood professionals. Help Me Grow Butte is a no-cost service available to all families in Butte County with children aged 0–5 who are interested in learning more about their children. First 5 Family Centers holistically supports families who are pregnant or parenting young children. Universal prekindergarten relies on a mixed-delivery system, supported by investments in universal transitional kindergarten, state preschool, and expanded learning. Early Education Programs and Services leads the Local Child Care Planning Council, Butte Quality Consoritum, and Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) Network. The Sr. Director is Michelle Lucero, who is part of the leadership team for Early Education Programs and Services.
