In this 10 week run of classes, young artists will explore the plethora of techniques and skills used for comic and cartoon creation.

We begin by making characters and looking into the pro tips and tricks of character design.

Participants then continue to build their comic-creation universe, populating it with colorful characters, convincing settings, and tell stories that bring it all to life.

In the telling they will, of course, learn the ins and outs of planning, drafting, pencilling, inking, coloring and editing their own comics.

We'll study how our favorite comics work, what makes them our favorites, and dive into how to make the best possible comics whilst still having the best possible time.

Policies

Age / Grade LimitsFor The Love of Comics cannot make exceptions to the age/grade limits posted on the classes. These limits are placed in an effort to create the most comfortable, workable and collaborative environments possible in each class.
Device PolicyFor The Love of Comics does not permit the use of tablets or phones by students in any of the under 14 classes. Students may have them, but they will not be used during sessions.

In the 14 and older sessions, tablets and phones will only be used at the direction of the instructor. At all other times they will remain out of sight and silent.
FTLOC Cancellation PolicyCancellations for camp or class sessions must be made 30 or more days before the session start date to be eligible for a refund.
