West Hills Ballet is a blossoming dance school inspired by Marie Morrow’s career performing modern dance in New York City and teaching Royal Academy of Dance in Brooklyn for 10+ years with Cobble Hill Ballet, Berkeley Ballet Theatre and Shawl Anderson Dance Center. The philosophy of West Hills Ballet is focused on creativity and artistic exploration to music, getting to know oneself better, and moving in community while still learning proper alignment and strong technique. It is our goal to prioritize joy over competition. Humans have danced together since before the development of language and WHB’s mission is to bring the experience of movement to daily life practice, reveling in our own unique artistic voice.

Class level age should be measured by how old a student is/was starting September of 2025. Feel free to email if you have questions about which level is the right fit, making sure they are learning material appropriate for their age and body can make such a big difference in enjoyment ~ [email protected]

Miss Marie started her teaching career with Cobble Hill Ballet in 2008 under the guidance of Colette Linton Meyer. She performed in NYC for 10 years with modern dance companies like Susan Marshall, Wally Cardona, and danscores by Ofelia Loret DeMola. She had the honor of being a US Arts and Culture envoy to the developing country of Kosovo in 2008. Her proudest moments have been in the classroom with a dozen three year olds singing and dancing to classical music. She has taught in the Bay Area with Berkeley Ballet Theatre and Shawl Anderson Dance Center, where she started taking classes herself as a young girl. She worked in the development department of San Francisco Ballet 2014-2015 before moving to the North Bay with her beloved husband and started her family - Sebastian and now baby Juniper. After taking a break from teaching during the pandemic, she is delighted to be starting her very own ballet school with West Hills Ballet, steps from her home in the beautiful space at Hermann Sons Hall.

She has a BFA in acting from Purchase College, School of Theatre Arts and Film.
