About

A joyful Spanish immersion experience through stories, music, movement, and imagination for 1st- 3rd grade Students.

Children explore Spanish in a meaningful, playful, and culturally rich environment—where language comes alive through children’s literature and creative expression.

For heritage speakers, second-language learners, and children new to Spanish

Cuentos Mágicos is a Spanish immersion experience rooted in storytelling and enriched with music, movement, art, and imaginative play. Through carefully selected books and interactive activities, children engage with Spanish in a natural and joyful way while developing language skills and cultural awareness.

Students experience language not as a subject to memorize, but as a living, expressive tool—connected to emotion, creativity, and community.

OUR APPROACH

At the heart of Cuentos Mágicos is the belief that stories are one of the most powerful tools for language development.

Books provide rich, contextualized vocabulary and invite children to listen, observe, imagine, and participate. Through engaging stories and playful interaction, students naturally acquire language while strengthening comprehension, memory, and confidence.

Our approach supports language development through:

  • Meaningful vocabulary in context
  • Listening and oral comprehension
  • Repetition and predictable language patterns
  • Role-play, dramatization, and movement
  • Music, rhythm, and creative expression

All activities are developmentally appropriate and designed to foster a positive and lasting relationship with Spanish.

WHAT CHILDREN EXPERIENCE

During a Cuentos Mágicos session, children:

  • Listen to and interact with engaging Spanish stories
  • Sing, move, and play with language
  • Explore emotions, culture, and imagination
  • Participate in role-play and dramatization
  • Build confidence using Spanish with peers

Language learning happens naturally through joyful participation, not pressure.
