Is your teen thinking about applying to art school or a college with an art program? Ever wondered what you should include or what pitfalls to avoid? In this workshop, portfolio coach and educator Barbara Pollak shows some case studies and general tips for making your work stand out and, more importantly, tell your story. This dynamic course is designed for high school students ready to elevate their artwork and stand out in the college application process. About the Teacher:
Barbara Pollak is a San Francisco–based fine artist, curator, and arts educator who specializes in helping tweens and teens develop strong, concept-driven art portfolios. Since 2016, she has focused on fostering creative exploration and personal vision through her teaching. She has taught Pre-College Drawing and Illustration and Atelier classes at the California College of the Arts, along with private workshops in figure drawing and painting. She holds a BFA in Animation/Film from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MA in Arts Education from Boston University.
