About the Program: Sandcastle Fall Drama Program builds confidence, creativity, and collaboration. Kids create original scenes to perform in a unique final production! Through games and activities, Teaching Artists guide students in improvisation, story creation, character-development, acting, and design. No auditions, all are welcome.

For students in 1st-6th grade

  • Beginning Ensemble (recommended for 1st-3rd graders)
  • Intermediate Ensemble (recommended for 4th-6th graders)
  • Program led by Sandcastle Theater Company's professional teaching artists
  • 1:8 student/staff ratio


Classes: September 4th-November 20th; Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30pm (free extended care: 3pm-6pm) 

*No class during Thanksgiving Break*

Tech/Dress Rehearsals: Monday, December 2nd (3-6pm); Tuesday, December 3rd (3-6pm)

Performance: Wednesday, December 4th

Cast Party @ 3:30pm

Show @ 5:30pm

Program Schedule:

  • 3:00 PM Check-In Begins (free time)
  • 3:30 PM REHEARSAL
  • 4:30 PM Recess/Snack
  • 4:40 PM REHEARSAL
  • 5:30 PM Check-Out Begins (free time)
  • 6:00 PM Final Pick-Up


Program Curriculum: Each week guides students through a phase of the theater-making process. Classes explore building ensemble, crafting scene scripts using improv and devising, learning blocking and rehearsal skills, designing costumes, props, and scenery, putting it all together in a final show, and more!


Notes:

  • Please send students with their own water bottle and snacks
  • Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move in

Policies

Cancellation Policy (After-School Programs)Cancellation requests must be made in writing via [email protected].

29+ days prior to program start: Eligible for full refund, minus $50 Cancellation Fee.

7 - 28 days prior to program start: Eligible for 75% refund.

1 - 6 days prior to program start: Eligible for 50% refund.

Other/During Program: refunds processed on a case-by-case basis (illness, family emergency, extenuating circumstances).

In the event of cancellation, families may opt to apply funds as a credit toward future program/camp sessions.
Flexible Pricing ProgramIf cost is a barrier to participation, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange for a partial fee waiver. No parent work or volunteer hours required.
Sibling DiscountA one-time discount is available for multiple participants enrolled in the same session. To be eligible, you must register all participants at the same time. Choose your session above, select 2 or more from the Quantity dropdown, and add to cart.
