Cinnabar Young Rep includes TEEN REP PRODUCTIONS for ages 12–18 and JR. REP PRODUCTIONS for ages 6–12. Cinnabar Jr. Rep is a new branch of the Young Rep program for youth ages 6–12 and focuses on giving younger performers structured theater experiences. The program is part of Cinnabar Summer 2026 and is included in a season that features 5 professional shows, 4 Young Repertory main stage shows, and the new Jr. Rep program. Cinnabar Theater is celebrating 53 years of theater and is currently performing its 53rd season on the road at Sonoma State University while building a new theatre at the Petaluma Outlet Mall.
The Education Associate Director for the program is Trevor Hoffmann. Cinnabar Theater states that its mission is to present a wide range of performing arts that are relevant to contemporary life and challenging to professionals and audiences, and to seek and train young talent in the performing arts while helping them make lasting and meaningful connections between performing arts and daily life. As a nonprofit organization, Cinnabar depends on volunteers and describes itself as an integral part of its community for four decades, formed by local artists and arts advocates to create accessible, intimate productions. The organization reports that it enriches the cultural fabric of the community through theatrical and musical productions, offers workshops, classes, and youth programs that build arts literacy and performance skills, and provides internships and hands-on training in acting, design, production, and management. Cinnabar Theater states that it is committed to training young people in the performing arts to make a lasting and meaningful connection between the arts and their daily lives.
