Tinker Village offers programs that focus on social and emotional skills, self-help skills, cognitive skills, language and literacy skills, and motor skills. The program’s philosophy comes from Jean Piaget’s work in child development and incorporates both the Reggio Emilia and Montessori approaches. Its learning model includes the Wonder of Inquiry, Wonder of Nature, Wonder of Kindness, Wonder of Materials, Wonder of Presence, and Wonder of Connection, and the center is also open for private events.
Tinker Village’s mission is to engage children at the awe-filled stage of childhood and provide an environment where they can immerse themselves in the natural rhythms and wonder of the world. The program is led by Mrs. Ericka, an early childhood educator who has been teaching and educating children for over 20 years. Tinker Village is a proud member of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children).
