The Spring Soccer in the Ranch sessions are one hour and include a 20-minute skills-focused warm-up followed by 40 minutes of mini scrimmages. The RSF Attack Fall Rec Program runs for approximately 10 weeks, with recreational soccer practices once or twice a week and games once a week on Saturdays.
• Ages: 4–14 years old
• Schedule: Fall Rec Program runs September–November for about 10 weeks with weekday practices in one-hour blocks and weekly Saturday games; Spring Soccer in the Ranch meets on Sundays in one-hour sessions
• Price: $275 for Spring Soccer in the Ranch; RSF Attack Rec Program registration fees are $225 for Pee Wee and $325 for all other age groups, with an early bird discount for registrations by May 31 and a multiple sibling discount
Cardiff Soccer League, the parent organization of the San Diego Sockers Youth club, has promoted and provided educational soccer competition for youth for over 40 years and is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization. The Rancho Santa Fe Youth Soccer organization is also a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization, and the fall program is volunteer driven and relies on parents to coach and sponsor the different teams. All players who register by the deadline are guaranteed a spot on a team and the opportunity to play, and Attack annually serves close to 300 children in the Rec program through the fall program, camps, and spring program.
Recreational coaches in this program are volunteers who receive training appropriate for the age group they are coaching, along with concussion, sudden cardiac arrest, and safesport training, and they are all background checked and Live Scanned. No prior experience is required to coach, but coaches must agree to the training and certification, and coaches receive a discount code for $25 off their player’s registration fee for the season if they coach or co-coach a team. Many coaches are current or former San Diego Sockers players, and the Cardiff Sockers and RSF Attack are connected to the tradition of the 16-time MASL Champion San Diego Sockers.
The San Diego Sockers Youth club mission is to provide a positive experience for all players, instilling a love of the game and developing and empowering players as people as well as athletes. The goal of Cardiff Soccer League has been to provide children of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to develop technically, physically, mentally, and socially in a positive, supportive, and safe environment. The San Diego Sockers youth competitive soccer program mission is to provide the most progressive and highest quality of training available while also creating a fun environment that allows players to enjoy the game of soccer, and the organization promotes a #lovethegame mentality at all levels.
The Cardiff Sockers and RSF Attack are proud to join forces as San Diego Sockers – Youth, uniting two soccer communities under one club that promotes high standards of sportsmanship, fair play, good citizenship, and community involvement. The program focuses on technical, tactical, physical, social, and mental game concepts, and the club is player-centered and seeks to develop players as people as well as athletes. Players are required to wear shin guards and soccer cleats and to bring water, and pets, food, and colored beverages are not allowed on or around the Nativity Church Turf field.
