Society Skateboarding Lessons and Camps offers skateboarding lessons and skateboarding camps that include structured skateboarding time, game time, and play time. Each camp day includes skateboarding lessons along with snack time, game time, and play time. The program includes private lessons, semi-private lessons, and group lessons, and Society Skateboarding offers skateboarding lessons at various skate parks in the Bay Area.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Half-day morning sessions from 9am–12pm, with Monday–Friday camp weeks offered on various dates for grades K–3 and 3–8
• Price: Camp fee is $345. Private lessons: 1 kid $65/hour, $176 for 3 hours, $332 for 6 hours. Semi-private lessons: 2 kids $55/kid for 1×1 hour package, $149/kid for 3×1 hour package, $281/kid for 6×1 hour package; 3 kids $45/kid for 1×1 hour package, $122/kid for 3×1 hour package, $230/kid for 6×1 hour package; 4+ kids $35/kid for 1×1 hour package, $95/kid for 3×1 hour package, $179/kid for 6×1 hour package.
The skateboarding camps focus on safety, skateboarding fundamentals, conditioning, and technique. The mission statement for the camps states that they are about challenging yourself and building self confidence with a focus on safety, skateboarding fundamentals, conditioning, and technique. Campers are asked to bring snacks, water, a skateboard, and a helmet, and safety pads are strongly recommended; skateboards and helmets are mandatory, and there is a skateboard and helmet rental program available on request. Families receive a 10% discount on all safety gear with registration. Society Skateboarding offers group lessons during the fall and spring seasons, and Society Skateboarding will contact families after completion of registration to schedule lessons, with an activities programs manager also contacting families after registration to schedule lessons. The staff includes experienced skateboarding instructors with passion for skateboarding who love to teach and are described as great with kids.
