Swim Lessons is a program that offers swimming instruction. The program is now enrolling participants in these swim lessons. Learning to swim in this program is described as building confidence and making it possible to safely enjoy pools, water parks, and the outdoors.

YMCA of Silicon Valley, which offers Swim Lessons, has been listening and responding to critical social needs in the community for over 150 years. Its mission is to strengthen the foundations of the community by nurturing the potential of children and teens, improving community health and well-being, and creating opportunities to give back, guided by the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in the areas of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. YMCA of Silicon Valley offers programs and services at health and wellness facilities throughout the Bay Area ranging from Redwood City to Morgan Hill, as well as a wilderness resident camp in the Redwoods at YMCA Camp Campbell and Before and After School Programs at multiple school campuses. It is described as the leading nonprofit for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, bringing together diverse people to strengthen the Silicon Valley community through strong partnerships and a deep commitment to the community. The leadership team connected to Swim Lessons includes Andres Romero, Executive Director of Sequoia YMCA; Mariaelena Crockett, Health & Wellness Director of Sequoia YMCA; Artem Gevorkyan, Aquatics Director of Sequoia YMCA; Carla Sillin, Board Chair; board members Benjamin Arredondo, Elisa Chavez, Catherine Fraser, Don Gibson, Christine Hery, Clem Molony, and Hank Upton; and John T. Ehrbar, President and Chief Executive Officer of YMCA of Silicon Valley, effective January 26, 2026.
