• Ages: 5–18 years old

Madella Stables is led by Madison and Ella. Madison began working as a horse camp counselor supervising and coaching children ages 6–14, and over the past several years she has worked with highly respected dressage trainers and is continuing to further her equine education. Madison focuses lessons on position, balance, and biomechanics for the serious rider. Ella has a unique ability to reassure even the most timid riders, and her calm nature is appreciated by unsure beginners and horses alike. The program features experienced, compassionate instructors and high-quality, well trained horses in an atmosphere described as exciting, peaceful, and safe. The mission at Madella Stables is for Madison to offer a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment where riders can enjoy interacting with horses, learn to properly care for and develop a bond with their equine partners, and foster values such as patience and kindness, while Ella’s goal is to help all riders feel confident, improve their equestrian skills, and enjoy their time with horses. Riding and horsemanship at Madella Stables are described as instilling skills such as discipline, responsibility, and empathy, and as an activity for any age, skillset, or background that can improve coordination, balance, and fitness. The program offers comprehensive horsemanship lessons ranging from first-time riders to more advanced pupils, along with an equestrian program to meet riding goals and seasonal camps that include riding and other hands-on horse activities.

Parents describe Madella Stables as a place to learn as a newbie or as a seasoned equestrian learning a new discipline, and one parent notes enjoying private lessons. Another parent comments on the love for the horses and says it takes a special person to teach others how to truly care for, maintain, ride, and respect a horse, and compares Madella Stables favorably to other stables in the valley. One family shares that their daughter has been taking lessons with Madison and Ella since December 2022, has developed a special bond with Ella and the horses, has learned to catch her horse and groom it properly before and after riding, and that her riding skill level has increased rapidly under their instruction, with lesson time being the highlight of her week. Another parent reports that their 5- and 10-year-old daughters have been attending horsemanship lessons for over a year, have learned grooming, tacking, riding, and proper care of a horse from both Madison and Ella, and that both girls love taking lessons with Ella, whom they describe as kind, knowledgeable, and really fun.
