The mission of Arts Programs at the Richmond Cultural Centre and Annex is to connect Richmond’s diverse community with arts education, cultural experiences and creative spaces. The Richmond Art Gallery’s School Art Program is led by professional art educators and introduces students and teachers to contemporary art while teaching inquiry-based art viewing strategies to develop visual literacy. These facilities are used by a number of community arts groups and host events such as the Richmond Children’s Arts Festival. Program guides are available for Spring – All Ages and Summer – All Ages. Families can register in three ways: online via Browse & Register, by phone at 604-276-4300 Monday–Friday from 8:30am–5:00pm (excluding statutory holidays), or in person at any community facility. Volunteer opportunities are available through icanhelp.richmond.ca, where individuals can create a volunteer account and register for opportunities city-wide.
