About

Alpine's Youth Recreation Program is open to climbers ages 5-18. It includes Trailblazers for 5-6 year olds on Thursdays from 1:00 pm-2:15 pm or 4:30 pm-5:45 pm, Summit for 7-9 year olds on Wednesdays from 1:00 pm-2:30 pm or 4:30 pm-6:00 pm, and Peak for 10-18 year olds on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm-2:30 pm or 4:30 pm-6:00 pm.

Programs

  • Alpine's Youth Recreation Program — 5-18 · Open to all climbers ages 5-18.
  • Trailblazers — 5-6 years old · Thursdays 1:00 pm-2:15 pm or 4:30 pm-5:45 pm · Focus on community building, fun, and getting your climber comfortable on the wall. Returning participants will continue to progress their skills and techniques.
  • Summit — 7-9 years old · Wednesdays 1:00 pm-2:30 pm or 4:30 pm-6:00 pm
  • Peak — 10-18 years old · Tuesdays 1:00 pm-2:30 pm or 4:30 pm-6:00 pm

About the provider

The program includes membership for the duration of the course for non-member children, and rental gear is included. Parents may take the Top Rope Belay Class for free so they can belay their child. The program states that parents do not have to be members, and it notes a privilege to belay at Alpine under 13 Years Old (Ascenders Peak Only). It says, "We exist to serve our community by inspiring them to safely pursue their passions and live life on adventure."
