Basketball Camp is a basketball camp that serves as a pre-season workout for players and coaches to plan for the season and review fundamentals. The camp focuses on basketball activities that include planning for the upcoming season and going over fundamental skills.

• Schedule: July 14–17th, 7:30–9:30pm
• Price: Ages 8-18 $80 per child/athlete
Christian Heritage Sports (CHS Sports) started in 1995 with a summer soccer camp. Its mission statement says that Christian Heritage Sports desires that every homeschooled child will have the opportunity to participate in physical education classes and athletic competition, with a focus on improving God-given talents and using Biblical principles to instill Godly character traits. The mission statement also says each coach is asked to teach the fruits of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-24 and to lead by example by putting God first in everything, as referenced in Colossians 3:23, with the stated ultimate goal that each athlete improves their athletic skills while learning Christian character traits through participation in a variety of sport activities. California Home School Sports (CHSS) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. CHSS and the CHS Sports families host three home school championship events: The Home School Volleyball Championship Tournament, The March Gladness Basketball Tournament, and The Home School Track and Field Invitational. By 2006, California Home School Sports (CHSS) had become a league for home school sports teams in Southern California, with many teams competing year-round in basketball, volleyball, football, baseball, softball, and track & field.
For Basketball Camp, participants are asked to bring a basketball, extra water, snacks or dinner, and sweats. Families are instructed to fill out the Annual Permission & Waiver Form and bring or mail payment to California Home School Sports (CHSS), with checks made out to California Home School Sports (CHSS). The camp notes that all persons planning on playing on a CHS team for the upcoming year should be at basketball camp and that friends and relatives may be invited to join for the camp.
