About

Robotics Summer Camp focuses on learning robotics, computer coding, artificial intelligence (AI), logical thinking, analytical thinking, and electronics through hands-on robot-building activities. Participants work on designing and building custom autonomous robots using an Arduino microprocessor robotic kit that contains all the parts for building the robotic projects, and the kit is theirs to keep at the end of the camp. No previous experience is needed for this one-week long robotics summer camp run by a non-profit organization of La Sierra University.

• Ages: 10–18 years old
• Schedule: One-week long robotics summer camp with beginner classes offered in July 2026
• Price: The registration fee is $240 per person. Families with financial difficulties can get a 20% discount. Low-income families can get a 20% discount.

La Sierra University's Eleventh Annual 2026 Robotics Summer Camp is offered by the La Sierra University Computer Science Department. The camp is led by Dr. Enoch Hwang, Chair of the Computer Science Department at La Sierra University. Dr. Hwang was honored as an Outstanding Citizen of Riverside by Riverside Mayor William R. Bailey, III and Councilmember John Burnard during the City Council Meeting on April 25th, 2017 at the Riverside City Hall. The Robotics Summer Camp is held in partnership with the Riverside Unified School District, the City of Riverside, and Bourns Inc. The stated purpose of the camp is for students to have fun learning robotics, logical thinking, analytical thinking, computer coding, and electronics through hands-on robot-building activities.
