Flying Frog Academy

Flying Frog Academy offers parkour and aerial silks. The program includes non-traditional movement based sports and describes itself as a community of movers.

• Schedule: Front desk hours Monday–Friday 2:15 pm–6:30 pm and Saturday 9:45 am–12:45 pm

Flying Frog Academy was established in 2012 and is described as Sonoma County's premier parkour gym and as a facility that creates an ideal place for current parkour practitioners to train and for new practitioners to develop. The program states that its goal is to introduce “Better Living Through Movement” through non-traditional movement based sports and to teach children and adults to move their bodies in new ways, gain confidence, become stronger, more coordinated, and more in touch with their bodies through parkour. Flying Frog Academy has teamed up with Carolina Wolohan to offer aerial silks classes. The program describes its environment as welcoming and positive, with a focus on respect and encouragement while embracing challenge and working hard, while also having fun and enjoying the journey. It states that each student is met at their level, with physical skills taught through progressive movements and the use of safety blocks and mats. The program notes that classes include lots of movement with very little downtime, with a focus on technique specifics plus games and activities. Flying Frog Academy also states that its competition partnered with @westcoast.uspk, and that summer camps are open for early registration.
