La Petite Baleen Swim Schools

La Petite Baleen Swim Schools offers swim lessons and swim classes, including free infant swim lessons and free swim lessons for babies 2–5 months. The program uses an Aquatic Classroom® approach with a developmental aquatic program that emphasizes a balance between love and discipline, small class sizes, and an in-depth curriculum and ribbon level system. Lessons are available for infants, toddlers, children, teens, and adults in a warm indoor pool with family-friendly facilities and sparkling clean pools.

La Petite Baleen Swim Schools has been providing award-winning swimming lessons in the Bay Area since 1979 and has more than 40 years in the learn-to-swim world. Teaching life skills through swimming in its Aquatic Classroom® is one of the stated philosophies of the swim school, with a motto of “Pace, Pattern, Compassion, and Fun!” Expert swim teachers are trained in La Petite Baleen's proven teaching system and are highly trained to read body language and open up the line of communication with their students.

The Rohnert Park swim school is led by Site Director Casandra Campos, with the program originally begun in 1979 in the backyard pool of co-founders John Kolbisen and Irene Madrid’s Half Moon Bay home. La Petite Baleen Swim Schools serves Sonoma County families, including families from Petaluma, Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Windsor, Healdsburg, Sebastopol, Cotati, and more.

Parents have shared that they experienced patient and kind instruction and clean, welcoming facilities, and that their children built foundational skills in water safety and family bonding through caring, interactive instruction.
