Spreckels Theatre Education Program (STEP) offers youth theatre classes that include 2–3 junior shows each year. Participants take part in a winter/spring production in the Condiotti studio space and a summer camp production on the Codding stage.
Founded in 1990, Spreckels Theatre Education Program (STEP) states that it strives to provide a professional educational experience for the young talent of Sonoma County. The program is part of the most-awarded theatre company in the North Bay for more than a decade and is a leading performing arts organization located in the heart of Sonoma County, California. It is connected with a state-of-the-art, city-owned and operated facility that presents a dynamic season of musicals, plays, and original works and serves as a rental venue welcoming local professional and educational dance companies, concert performances, and touring productions throughout the year. The broader organization has served nearly half a million people from Sonoma, Napa, Marin and Mendocino counties, provides access to its facilities for presentations by local arts and civic organizations, and showcases the talents of local artists and guest performers from across the region.
