Marci Peterson Educational Therapy and Dyslexia Services offers academic assessment, dyslexia screening, educational consultation, and instruction. The program also provides early dyslexia screening for ages 4–6, academic assessments and screenings, support for homeschooling, IEP consulting, and adult consultation and services. Services are available for clients of all ages, including those with reading challenges and dyslexia.

Marci Peterson, MEd, BCET, C-SLDS, is a Board Certified Educational Therapist and Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Specialist with over 25 years of experience working with the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading, spelling, and writing. She is trained and experienced in multiple Orton-Gillingham programs, the Institute of Excellence in Writing (IEW), Wilson Reading System, Lindamood Bell's Phonemic Sequencing (LiPS) and Visualizing and Verbalizing, Making Math Real: The 9 Lines Intensive, Slingerland Screening Tests, and is certified in Barton Reading & Spelling at the Masters Level. She has extensive experience administering assessments, screening tools, and reading inventories for grades K–adult, interpreting assessment results, and writing individual assessment reports, supported by academic courses, practicums, dyslexia training, and mentors. She holds a Master of Education from Regent University in Virginia and is recognized by the International Dyslexia Association as a dyslexia specialist, is a professional member of the International Dyslexia Association, and a board certified member of the Association of Educational Therapists. She is the author of “The Dyslexia Guide for Adults: Practical Tools to Improve Executive Functioning, Boost Literacy Skills, and Develop Your Unique Strengths” (September 2021). Her leadership roles include serving on the Association of Educational Therapists executive board of directors as President-Elect (Oct 2024–Oct 2026), National Conference Co-chair (2021–2025), and Study Group Leader and Supervising Mentor (2019–present). She has also served on the Board of Directors for Dyslexia Alliance, a nonprofit organization in the greater Sacramento area focused on resources, education, and advocacy for dyslexia. Her stated mission is: “I am here to help with reading or writing struggles.”
