The Jr Tigers was the first youth football and cheer program in the Roseville area, formerly known as the Bobcats and founded in 1966. The organization is a non profit run by volunteers, with board membership available. The program states that it teaches fundamentals and prepares athletes for success at the high school level with the help and support of Roseville High School coaches, and it is a feeder program into the Roseville High School football program. The RHS cheer squad hosts a camp for the Jr Tigers, and the RHS Cheer camp includes a T-shirt and bow, with participants asked to have black shorts and athletic or cheer shoes; mascots do not attend this camp.
For tackle football, the season includes use of a game day jersey, game pants, helmet, pads, a bag, socks, a mouth guard, and a practice jersey to keep, and cleats must be supplied by the family, with a few donated pairs available in limited sizes and quantity. For cheer, purchase of an additional uniform package is required, and purchase of a mandatory camp is required, with the cheer uniform package including shell, skirt, liner, briefs, practice tank, practice shorts, sports bra, game shoes, poms, and a game bow. If a child has a shell or skirt that still fits, they are not required to re-purchase those items if the fit is approved by Ali or Brittani at the uniform fitting; all other pieces must be purchased by all athletes, and solid white no-show socks must be supplied by the family. Ten volunteer hours are required for every football and cheer player, with a $350 deposit check held until the close of the season if all 10 hours are completed, and there is an option to buy out of volunteer hours for $350 per player. An equipment deposit check of $350 is collected at the beginning of the football season and held until the final gear turn-in date if all loaned items are returned in good condition.
The program has four football teams broken up by age: Jr. PeeWee, PeeWee, Jr. Midget, and Midget, and it also runs a flag football team for kindergarten through 2nd grade. Cheerleaders are broken into squads based on age and skill level: Mascots, Jr. PeeWee, PeeWee, Jr. Midget, and Midget. The leadership team for uniform fit approval includes Ali and Brittani. The program reports that several athletes have gone on to the professional level, including Kolton Miller, a first-round draft pick for the Raiders.
In credentials and awards, the Jr Tigers Midgets were the 2025/2026 National Champions, the Peewees placed 2nd, and the Jr PeeWees placed 3rd on the national stage. The program states it is gearing up to defend its national title and compete at the 2027 JAMZ Nationals in Las Vegas.
