KSMY Martial Arts offers classes that include striking and kicking, grappling and throwing, pressure points and joint locking, traditional forms and weapons, falling and tumbling, and sparring. The program also offers private lessons in addition to group classes.

KSMY Martial Arts was established in the Sacramento area in 2011. The school offers Tiny Tigers, Juniors, Youth & Adults, and Sparring classes, and also offers a free trial sign-up. KSMY Martial Arts describes itself as a big family and a positive environment.

The owner and head master of KSMY Martial Arts is Master My Callison, who has been dedicated to Hapkido for over 30 years and is currently a Sixth Degree Black Belt under the Korea Kuk Sool Association, the World Kido Federation, and the Han Min Jok Hapkido Association. She began training under Chiefmaster Chun Duk Lee in 1993, earned her First Degree Black Belt in 1998 from 10th Degree Grandmaster In Sun Seo, and has made several trips to South Korea since 2002 to train and instruct at Kuk Sool Hapkido dojangs. She moved to South Korea in 2009 to train for her Fourth Degree Black Belt, established KSMY Martial Arts in 2011, and obtained her 6th Dan blackbelt in 2023. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science and Interdisciplinary Studies, completed the Teacher Preparation Program at California State University of Sacramento, and obtained a professional single subject teaching credential in 2005 before teaching World History and Psychology in the Elk Grove Unified School District. She currently trains under Hwae Jang Nim/Grandmaster Steve Seo, International Director of the World Kido Federation.

The leadership team includes Master My Callison as Owner and Head Master; Grandmaster In Sun Seo as President/Chairman of the World Kido Federation, Han Min Jok Hapkido Association, and Korea Kuk Sool Association; and Grandmaster Steve Sung Kwon Seo (Hwae Jang Nim) as President of the World Kido Federation and leader of the International arm of the Hanminjok Hapkido Association. Assistant Instructor Colin Scott is a 2nd Dan blackbelt who co-instructs the Monday and Wednesday Junior classes and the Sparring classes. Assistant Instructor David Morrison is a 2nd Dan Blackbelt who joined KSMY Martial Arts in 2016 and instructs the Monday and Wednesday 4:30 PM classes and co-teaches the Tiny Tigers classes. Assistant Instructor Derrick Rogers is a 2nd degree blackbelt who instructs the Youth & Adult classes and teaches the Sparring classes. Instructor in Training Nadia Montes is a 1st Dan and one of the youngest blackbelts at the dojang, assisting in the Joint classes and co-teaching the Monday and Wednesday Juniors classes. Instructor in Training Anaya Montes started Hapkido at KSMY when she was 13 years old and is currently a 1st Dan Blackbelt.

KSMY Martial Arts states that the school teaches students patience to practice, courage to fail, spirit to fly, and wisdom to guide. Master My states that she strives to develop a personal and constructive relationship with each student, plans to be with students every step of the way to help them reach their individual goals, and describes martial arts as her life and something she hopes to share with others. Grandmaster In Sun Seo has been involved in martial arts since the 1950s, is described as one of the most respected Korean martial artists and a pioneer representing the first generation of Korean martial artists, and is noted as the only first generation martial artist to teach and operate a dojang in Korea continuously for the last 40 years; he has certified 270,000 Black Belts and serves as President/Chairman of the World Kido Federation, Han Min Jok Hapkido Association, and Korea Kuk Sool Association. Grandmaster Steve Seo has over 40 years of martial arts training experience and has conducted seminars and training sessions around the world.
