About
Play-Well TEKnologies Enrichment Programs offers LEGO-inspired engineering classes where students take part in an Engineering with LEGO enrichment program using tens of thousands of LEGO pieces. In these classes, students explore concepts in physics, architecture, mechanical engineering, and structural engineering through design and building assignments, challenges, performance testing, competitions, and modifications to projects. The program also offers Play-Well At-Home Videos, Summer Camps, After School and Homeschool Classes, Adventures in STEM, STEM Explorations, and Birthday Parties, with students working individually, in teams, and as a group, and each meeting starting with a short discussion and demonstration of the day’s topic; all materials are provided each week, and there is no “take away” LEGO that goes home after camp.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Classes typically meet once per week before or after school for an entire quarter (Fall/Winter/Spring), and session duration is generally 90 minutes.
• Price: Pricing varies based on area, course being offered, number of sessions, etc.
Play-Well TEKnologies states that its mission is to provide an environment where students can create without fear of mistakes, explore fundamental STEM concepts through play, and express their creativity in ways they never thought possible, and its core programs for elementary students are Adventures in STEM and STEM Explorations. Instructors have varied careers and educational backgrounds, including mechanical engineering, architecture, biology, art, geology, education, and civil engineering.
