TreeSprites Farm/Fiber Summer Camp includes imaginative play, music, movement, games, stories, and artistic activities. Campers spend time caring for farm animals, harvesting vegetables from the garden, exploring the natural world, and working in the garden through planting, watering, and exploring. The program also includes fiber art projects such as making felt crafts, as well as visiting with, feeding, handling, chasing, and holding bantam chickens, singing songs, creative play, a movement game to create animal personalities, meal making and cleanup, planting potatoes, puppet shows, making bread and soup, playing in the sandbox, and caring for animals during Farm Camp, including cat care.

• Schedule: Open 4 days a week with drop-off at 9:30am and pickup at 2:00pm
TreeSprites Farm/Fiber Summer Camp is part of Tree Sprites Playgarden Preschool, which is described as a “home away from home” environment and an enchanted urban farm with a mini homestead fiber farm that includes angora rabbits and angora goats that provide mohair. The program is inspired through the philosophy and principles of Waldorf Education and LifeWays North America and offers vegetarian and gluten free meals.
Teacher Teresa is the Creator and Lead Teacher at TreeSprites. She has over 13 years of experience teaching in early childhood Waldorf programs, began taking classes in Early Childhood Education in 2002, completed a four-year Waldorf Teacher Training at Summerfield’s Center for Educational Renewal in Santa Rosa, CA in 2012, and completed her LifeWays North America Early Childhood Certification in June 2017. TreeSprites first appeared in 2010, grew and ran for three years, then became a Waldorf-inspired homeschool classroom for five years before the preschool reopened part-time in 2016, and Teresa has served families and the community for over 11 years. She began teaching Fiber Art Summer Camps in 2013.
